How to Get there
Wedding venue: Castello San Salvatore, Susegana
Susegana is a short trip away from Venice and Treviso.
Venice Marco Polo (VCE) — the main international airport, about 35 minutes by car from Susegana. Direct flights from most major European cities and beyond.
Treviso (TSF) — even closer, about 30 minutes away. Served by low-cost airlines (Ryanair and others) from cities across Europe.

The nearest station is Conegliano, just 10 minutes Susegana, on the Venice–Udine line. From Venice Santa Lucia, it's a direct train of about one hour.
by Train
The Prosecco hills are wine country: villages are spread out, and taxis are rare outside Conegliano and Treviso. This is not Uber territory. We recommend renting a car. It's the easiest way to get around and gives you the freedom to explore the hills at your own pace. There are plenty of low-cost rental options at both airports, and don't hesitate to share a car with other guests if that's easier!

Things worth seeing nearby
Wine tasting in the Prosecco Hills
This is the birthplace of Prosecco — the hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. Drive (or cycle) the panoramic route and stop at a family-run winery for a tasting. Most wineries need a reservation, even for two people.
Venice
Just one hour by direct train from Conegliano — no car needed. Get lost in the backstreets of Cannaregio, take a traghetto across the Grand Canal for €2, and have a spritz with cicchetti in a bacaro rather than sitting on Piazza San Marco. Go early or stay for the evening: Venice at 8am or 8pm is a different city.
Verona
The city of Romeo and Juliet is about 90 minutes by car. Wander the Roman arena, the marble-paved Piazza delle Erbe and Juliet's balcony. In June, the open-air opera season at the Arena is on — a 2,000-year-old amphitheatre, 15,000 people, candlelight at dusk. Trust us, it's worth planning an extra night around it. Book tickets well in advance.
Dolomites
For the adventurers: Cortina d'Ampezzo is about 90 minutes north, and June is the perfect month: alpine lakes and spectacular hikes before the summer crowds arrive. Don't miss Lago di Braies (go before 9am), Lago di Misurina, and the Cinque Torri loop for a first taste of the peaks.
Lake Garda
Italy's largest lake sits about two hours west. Explore lakeside villages like Sirmione, Malcesine and Limone, and hop between towns by boat. Water sports fans should head to the northern shore: the lake's famous thermal winds make Malcesine and Riva del Garda a European hotspot for kitesurfing, windsurfing and sailing, with schools and rentals everywhere.
Treviso
A small walled town laced with canals, quieter than nearby Venice. And it’s only 30 mins away. Wander Piazza dei Signori and the arcades of Calmaggiore, see the Titian in the Duomo, then eat — Treviso is the birthplace of tiramisù (at Le Beccherie).
